I urge you to vote in support of Council Bills 58 and 59 to ensure that our community's vision for Downtown Columbia is realized. This legislation is a combination of the original James Rouse vision that was never fulfilled along with important new principles like cutting edge environmental practices. It will bring the best employers with the best jobs, the highest quality shopping and night life, and cultural vitality. If we don't pass this legislation, we'll watch more and more jobs choose neighboring communities that are already ahead of us. Thank you for voting yes on these Bills next week

I'm writing to ask you to vote in favor of Council Bills 58 and 59 because after having grown up in Howard County, I'm not sure that I want to raise a family here. Despite James Rouse's vision, I feel that Columbia and Howard County are declining rather than blossoming. I want to raise my family in an area rich with amenities, job opportunities and paths for biking and walking. Please pass this legislation to create a community that will retain folks like me for the next generation. Thank you for voting yes on these Bills next week.

I'm writing to express my support for Council Bills 58 and 59, the plan to revitalize downtown Columbia. I believe the opportunity to build a more sustainable, connected Downtown Columbia is the most significant opportunity to come Howard County's way in a generation. This plan for Columbia includes environmental restoration and walkable, bikeable transit options. So I urge you to support this vision by voting in favor of the bills next week. Thank you.

I urge you to vote in favor of Council Bills 58 and 59 next week to bring much-needed jobs to Howard County. This legislation is crucial in making our county competitive with surrounding areas that are building new mixed use cities which I believe will attract new jobs away from Howard County. According to the Howard County Economic Development Authority, Council Bills 58 and 59 will bring 30,000 new jobs to Howard County, which we will need to maintain our edge into the next generation. So please vote yes on these bills next week for the future of Howard County.
